John and Julia Mahon's Children
John and Julia had six children, all born in Hamilton, five of whom survived to adulthood. These children were, in birth order: Charles John Henry Mahon (b. 21 Dec. 1866), Adela Gertrude (Mahon) Calder (b. 16 Jun. 1869), Walter Kenrick Mahon (b. 11 Aug. 1870), Marjorie Winifred (Mahon) Goodwiin (b. 5 Nov. 1872), Ruth Mahon (b. 12 Jul. 1877), and Geoffrey Laurence Mahon (b. 4 Nov. 1878).
Under the terms of Julia's Will her estate was to be divided such that four of her five children, with the exception of Marjorie (Mahon) Goodwin were to receive half her estate, and her grandson John Paisley Mahon, Marjorie's son born prior to Marjorie's marriage, was to receive the other half of the estate. The two executors of the will were her sons Walter Kenrick Mahon, and Geoffrey Laurence Mahon. In 1922 John Paisley Mahon sued the two executors of Julia's will. In a second lawsuit the siblings Charles, Adela and Marjorie sued their brothers Walter and Geoffrey.

Adela Gertrude (Mahon) Calder (b. 1869, d. 1949)
Adela Mahon was born the 16'th June 1869 in Hamilton, New Zealand, and died on 27'th October 1949, likely in New Plymouth. She is buried at Te Henui Cemetery in New Plymouth.
Adela married Alexander Holmes Calder (b. 1862, d. 1939) on the 23'rd March 1982. They were married in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Hamilton. Adela and Alexander had four children: Albert Victor Calder (b. 1892, d. 1976), Adela Violet Calder (b. 1894, d. 1982), Hazel Gertrude Calder (b. 1895, d. 1984), and Leslie Alexander Calder (b. 1901, d. 1902). Based on electoral rolls they were living in Whatawhata in the Waikato in 1893, but had moved to Waihi by 1896, and lived in Waihi until 1925. Adela applied to the courts for a maintenance order in 1910, on the grounds that Alexander had deserted her in 1908. There was an application made in 1926 for a withdrawal of the maintenance order.

Walter Kenrick Mahon (b. 1870, d. 1922)
Walter Mahon was born the 11'th August 1870 in Hamilton, and died on 10'th August 1922 and he is buried in Hamilton West Cemetery.
He married Harriett Douglas (b. 1884, d. 1964) on the 2'nd August 1905. They were married in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Hamilton. Walter and Harriett had three children: Leslie Arthur Mahon (b. 1906, d. 1960), Gladys Ruth Mahon (b. 1908, d. 1943), and Douglas Mervyn Walter Mahon (b. 1919, d. 1994). Based on electoral roll information Walter lived in Hamilton his whole life and was a baker.

Marjorie Winifred (Mahon) Goodwin (b. 1872, d. 1965)
Marjorie Mahon was born the 5'th November 1872, died on 29'th August 1965 and she is buried in Hamilton Park Cemetery, Hamilton, New Zealand.
She married Henry Goodwin (b. 1866, d. 1943) on the 7'th May 1894 at the Registrar's office in Hamilton. Marjorie and Henry divorced in 1913. Prior to marrying Marjorie had a child: John Paisley Mahon (b. 1890, d. 1990). Marjorie and Henry had four children: Zela Theodora Gertrude Goodwin (b. 1895, d. 1982), Milton Watford Gorange Goodwin (b. 1896, d. 1946), Walter Casper Goodwin (b. 1898, d. 1967), and James Henry Mahon Goodwin (b. 1899, d. 1986). Based on electoral rolls, Marjorie lived her whole life in Hamilton and resided at 4 Rosstrevor St, which would have been across Clifton St. from the confiscated lots allocated to her father.

Ruth Mahon (b. 1877, d. 1877)
Ruth Mahon was born the 12'th November 1877, died on 20'th August 1877 .
Geoffrey Laurence Mahon (b. 1878, d. 1924)
Geoffrey Mahon was born the 4'th November 1878, died on 15'th July 1924 and he is buried in Hamilton West Cemetery.
He married Florence Browne (b. 1881, d. 1970) on the 25'th December 1903. They were married at the house of Florence's parents in Ponsonby. Geoffrey and Florence had two children: Lawrence Maitland Mahon (b. 1905, d. 1962), and Ronald Ebenezer Athol Mahon (b. 1907, d. 1973). From electoral rolls we know that Geoffrey was an accountant living in Tauraga in 1911 and in 1918 received a call up notice when he was living in Christchurch.
Geoffrey started a stock and produce store in Matamata in 1921, but by 1922 the store was in financial difficulties. He went bankrupt in 1923 and was charged under the Bankruptcy Act for continuing to contract debt when he should have reasonably known he was bankrupt and had no likelihood of being able to repay the debt. In March 1924 he was found guilty under the Bankruptcy Act and sentenced to four months in jail. He must have died soon after release.
